Puppet Shows
While reading
Fantastic Mr. Fox,
2nd grade students responded strongly to character choices that led to unsafe and scary plot developments for the foxes and farmers.
In an effort to have agency over a character's fate, students created alternative endings to the story by producing puppet shows entitled
"Imaginative Solutions".
Students collaboratively wrote their own scripts, designed their own puppets and sets utilizing cranky boxes, and directed the shows.
